If you’re looking to host a casual football party but don’t know what to expect or how to get started, I can help. I love hosting parties, and my last couple of parties were huge successes, so I figure it’s time to share some of my tips. Here are some recipes you can use for your party and things to consider if you want it to be a success.
What to expect at a casual Super Bowl Party
There are a few things to keep in mind when hosting a casual Super Bowl party:
- Easy-to-follow recipes. The best way to avoid stress is by having simple, easy-to-follow recipes that don’t take too much time or effort.
- Easy prep. Make things easier on yourself by choosing recipes that require minimal chopping, chopping and prepping ahead of time so you can just assemble them right before serving (or better yet, have someone else prepare them ahead of time). Some things are worth the extra effort though—you’ll want to make sure your guacamole recipe is fresh and delicious!
- Easy cleanup! You don’t want guests thinking about cleaning up when they’re trying to enjoy themselves at your party; so try finding recipes that are easy not only because they’re delicious but also because they don’t leave much mess behind in the kitchen!
- Easy preparation . . . as well as easy sharing with friends and family members looking for something both tasty and kid-friendly will definitely go over well during this special occasion!
The Food! What To Serve At A Casual Super Bowl Party
For the food, we wanted it to be casual for people who might be bringing kids or who don’t want a lot of fuss. We opted for finger foods and snacks that were easy to eat, easy to make and could be cleaned up easily.
After doing our research, we decided on some simple options:
- Quesadillas with assorted fillings (vegetables, cheese)
- Nachos with guacamole and salsa (we made this ahead of time)
- Hummus and veggies/pita chips
This was more than enough food because some guests brought other items such as pizza slices or nachos they had made at home in advance!
Garlic Parmesan Wings ingredients
You’ll need:
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup minced garlic
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Garlic Parmesan Wings Prepare Method
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper until well coated. Transfer to prepared baking sheet; bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165 degrees F).
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine butter, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning; microwave until melted, about 30 seconds (or melt on the stovetop over low heat). Brush wings with cheese mixture when they come out of the oven; broil until crispy and browned at edges (about 3 minutes). Sprinkle hot wings with additional parmesan cheese if desired before serving
The Game! What To Watch At A Casual Super Bowl Party
So, you’re hosting a Super Bowl party. Now what? First of all, how to watch football at a casual Super Bowl party? You can watch the game on any number of different devices: your television, laptop, tablet or phone. If you want to make your guests feel comfortable and able to interact with each other easily during the game (or if there are kids in attendance), consider providing them with their own screens.
The volume level should be lower than normal so that everyone can hear their conversations better than they would during other sporting events like soccer or baseball games—after all, this is supposed to be a conversation starter!
How about decorating for casual Super Bowl parties? It’s completely up to you which direction you’d like to go here; some people prefer minimalist decorations that won’t distract from the game itself while others prefer more elaborate setups complete with themed party favors and balloons tied around every corner of their living rooms or kitchens – whichever option works best for both yourself and those coming over specifically depends on what kind of vibe they want out of these gatherings overall.”
Extra Points to Consider for a Casual Super Bowl Party
- Decide on the food before you buy the food.
- Decide on the drinks before you buy them drinks.
- Decide on the activities before you buy the activities.
- Decide on your seating arrangements before you buy your seating arrangements.
- Decide on your music(s) of choice for this party well in advance, if possible, and make sure all guests know what they are getting into when they arrive at your place!
Shrimp Cocktail Appetizer Tray
- Buy cocktail shrimp, lemon wedges, cocktail forks, and napkins.
- Buy a platter (I like oval ones because they hold more).
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Add cucumber slices for crunch.
- Add cherry tomatoes for color. And for fun! They add a nice pop of red color as well as flavor! Don’t you just love how festive they look? I do!
I like adding some extra touches to my appetizers so they don’t look boring or bland. For this one, I added cucumber slices which gave it some freshness, along with cherry tomatoes that added both color and flavor! These two simple additions went a long way in making this dish more visually exciting too – don’t you agree?
Holding a casual football party or casual super bowl party doesn’t have to be stressful. If you follow these tips and use these recipes, you should be fine.
The first thing you need to realize when planning a football party is that it’s not a formal event. You don’t have to stress about everything being perfect. The food is never going to be as good as what you can get in a restaurant, so don’t worry too much about that. Likewise, the game probably won’t go exactly how you want it to and there’s nothing you can do about that either.
So just relax and enjoy being with your friends and family while eating some delicious finger foods! That way if the score of the game doesn’t go your way or if they play poorly during their halftime show performance, then at least everyone will still be happy because there were plenty of snacks available for everyone during the game itself (and after).
Conclusion
As you can see, hosting a casual football party or a casual Super Bowl party doesn’t have to be stressful. Just follow these guidelines, plan ahead, and keep it simple. If you follow my suggestions, I think your next casual football party will be one that even non-football fans will enjoy!
